Worrall to Lead ZeroNorth’s Growth Strategy in Risk-Based Vulnerability Orchestration; Founder and Chairman Ernesto DiGiambattista to Continue Supporting Product and Partner Strategies, Customer Engagement
BOSTON – AUGUST 20, 2019 – ZeroNorth, the industry’s only provider of risk-based vulnerability orchestration, announced today that John Worrall has been named chief executive officer. Worrall brings more than 25 years of leadership, strategy and operational experience to the role, across early stage and established cybersecurity brands. In addition, Worrall has been part of the ZeroNorth team since January 2019, serving in both sales and marketing executive leadership roles.
As CEO, Worrall will lead ZeroNorth’s efforts to help customers bolster security across the software lifecycle as they embark upon digital transformation initiatives. Worrall succeeds founder and chairman Ernesto DiGiambattista as CEO; DiGiambattista remains with ZeroNorth as Board chair. In addition, DiGiambattista will play a critical role in product and partnership strategies, as well as customer engagements.

Worrall’s appointment comes on the heels of ZeroNorth’s $10 million Series A investment in April 2019, led by ClearSky Ventures with participation from Crosslink Capital, Rally Ventures and existing investor Petrillo Capital. At the time, ZeroNorth also announced the appointment of John Steven, former co-CTO at Cigital, as chief technology officer.

Worrall brings deep expertise in operations, marketing, product management and general management to ZeroNorth. Prior to ZeroNorth, Worrall consulted with early stage cyber companies in the areas of strategy and growth planning. Before that, Worrall was chief marketing officer at CyberArk. Worrall also held executive leadership positions at CounterTack and ActivIdentity, and also served as vice president and general manager of the Security Intelligence & Event Management business unit at RSA. Earlier, Worrall held various roles in product management, sales and systems engineering.
In addition to leading ZeroNorth, Worrall serves on the Board of Directors at FamilyAid Boston, a nonprofit that helps children and their parents facing homelessness in Greater Boston. Worrall holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from St. Lawrence University.
